Maine McDonald’s/Maine Red Claws Team of the Year Award
In collaboration with the Maine Red Claws, Maine McDonald’s and the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches will be presenting the 2nd annual award at the 2012 Maine McDonald’s All-Star Games –Maine McDonald’s/Maine Red Claws Team of the Year Award.
One boys and one girls Maine varsity high school basketball team will be named Team of the Year by a selection committee comprised of representatives from Maine McDonald’s, Maine Red Claws and the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches. The two teams will be honored at the Maine McDonalds All-Star Games on March 10, 2012 as well as at a Red Claws game in March. Each winning team will receive $1,000 for its school’s basketball program.
AWARD CRITERIA:
The Maine McDonald's and Maine Red Claws Team of the Year Award honors two Maine varsity high school basketball teams – one boys and one girls – that have made an exceptional impact on Maine High School Basketball and in the lives of others through:
- Contribution to Community
- Exemplifying Sportsmanship
- Team Competitiveness and Spirit
- Commitment to Academic Excellence
NOMINATION PROCESS:
Coaches, parents, principals, community organizations, athletic directors, and anyone who knows of a Maine Varsity High School Basketball Team meeting the criteria are encouraged submit a nomination form.Submissions may be done electronically or printed and completed manually.
PLEASE NOTE: All nomination submissions must be received by February 13, 2012.
